Accessibility
The museum is largely accessible for people with reduced mobility; a limited number of wheelchairs is available. It is recommended to reserve these in advance.

Only a few rooms (an upstairs room and a film projection room) are not accessible for people with reduced mobility.

Route

Museum JAN can be reached by car and is located near the A9 motorway. Take exit 5 to Amstelveen and follow the green signs referring to the museum.

Parking
Free parking is available around the museum. There is also a large car park within walking distance from the museum: Oude Dorp (old village) and the car park 'Kersenbloesempark Parking’ at the Doorweg, Amstelveen.

Public transport
From Schiphol take bus 300 (direction Bijlmer Arena) or bus 356 (direction Haarlem) to the Amstelveen busstation (15 minute walk). Walk south under the A9 and turn right onto Ouderkerkerlaan / Stationsstraat. At the end, turn right onto Dorpsstraat. The museum is on your right. From Amstelveen busstation you can take bus 174 (direction Amstelveen KLM Head Office) (3 min. walk, stop Raadhuis). Bus 186 (only on weekdays, stop Raadhuis/Dorpsstraat).

Coffee at Museum JAN

On Sundays you can enjoy some homemade cake and coffee in the museum, made and served by lunchroom La Gare. On the other days you can help yourself in our coffeecorner to a cup of coffee or tea.

Museumshop

The Museum JAN Shop offers special gifts with a focus on glass. From beautiful vases, glasses and bowls to true works of art such as the glass objects of Bernard Heesen. We also sell art books, exhibition catalogues, home accessories such as candles and crockery, gifts for children and of course cards. The 'Museum JAN Gift Card' is available in the gift shop. Surprise someone with a gift from the shop in the museum. Available for any amount. The Museum JAN Shop can be visited without a ticket for the museum.
